Garden Club: 2013

Another year, another attempt at growing some stuff.

It's been a few weeks since we planted and the forget-me-nots are in the lead, followed by three or four sprouted sweet peas, one daisy sprout, and no chives.

The daisies got knocked over and Lucy decided to "play" in the flower pot that contained all the chive seeds outside.

We need to get more soil and bigger planters to transplant the seeds that have survived.

So far, so good! Better than no sprouts last year!

RIP Chives.

  1. Exciting! I really want to garden this year, but as we have four inches of snow and a blizzard outside, I think I'll have to wait a few weeks to start :) Bummer about your daisies!

    Lucy is so adorable!

    1. Haha. Yeah, one of the benefits of living in West Texas is that summer is upon us already. I love gardening, but am legitimately allergic to all the grasses and weeds that grow here, plus having such fair skin, a large backyard garden isn't in the cards. :)
