Peter's Memorial: Ten Months

We bought our balloon for Peter today, but Lucy managed to pop it on our way to the cemetery so we didn't get to write our memories on it and send it to him.

Instead we said a prayer at his grave site and spent a few minutes thinking about him. Normally I get a little misty-eyed at his grave, but today was a particularly emotional visit and the tears flowed.

Every time we visit his grave it makes me so happy to see his gravestone. I'm so happy with how it turned out and love the symbols on it.

Happy ten month birthday, my sweet Peter.

The leftovers after Lucy popped the balloon.

Peter has a new neighbor.

Wish I was here. Wish you were here.

  1. I'll share my balloons with you. Today was my baby cousin's 1st birthday, and her mom was doing a balloon release. I decided to join in from my part of the world. A pink one for Baby S, and a white one (with daisies drawn on it) for my own 2 sweet angel girls, and of course little messages on each. I thought of you while I was sending the balloons out into the world, but didn't remember that it was Peter's 10 month birthday. (((hugs)))

    1. Thank you, Susie! His birthday is on the 3rd, but we do the balloons on the closest day that we can. (Saturday's work best for us usually.)

It is nice to have a moment to stop and remember.
